Vaughn Municipal School District is seeking applications for an Administrative Secretary who provides administrative support directly to the Superintendent and also districtwide. This individual coordinates information/data and complies reports in NOVA, Transportation, Food Services, Student Information Systems, Business Office and works with the Superintendent, Chief Finacial Officer and the New Mexico Public Education Department. Reviews/provides reports and other data necessary to meet program objectives. Is responsible for the maintenance of multiple files/databases (both hardcopy and electronic), purchase ordering and the transmission of routine and confidential correspondence.

Associate Degree related to duties

5-10 years experience

Individual that has a record of punctuality

Individual with a great work attendance record

Google Suite / Microsoft Office skills

Ability to be a cooperative and collaborative team member

Prioritize confidentialy and loyalty to all students and staff of VMSD

Must be willing to aquire a class B CDL to drive a bus

Pay depends on experience: $20-$28 per hour
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of a driving record check through the NM Motor Vehicle Division with a solid safety record. Successful completion of a criminal background check in accordance with Section 22-10-3, NMSA, 1978. Satisfactory completion of the NM school bus driver’s physical examination.
Possess a valid New Mexico commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class B for school buses, with S and P endorsements or the ability to obtain one. VMS will pay for training and licensing. Successful candidate must commit to 2 years with the district.
Successful pre-employment screening for drug abuse in accordance with 49 CFR Part 382 at the district’s testing lab
