Re-Entry Plan and
COVID-19 Information

Vaughn Municipal Schools will be operating on in-person model of instruction for the 21-22 school year beginning on August 4th. New Mexico Public Education Department guidelines will be followed day to day and throughout the school year. VMS will work cooperatively with the Department of Health to ensure the safety of all students and staff in the District.

Mask Guidelines

  • All students and staff must wear masks at all times indoors.

  • Exceptions: while eating

  • Visitors on campus must wear masks in doors at all times.

Schedule

  • The school day begins at 7:55am

  • All staff and students will follow the normal daily routine.

  • Elementary students will be in their classroom with their teacher unless going to recess, PE, Lunch.

  • High School Students will follow schedule of classes daily.

Transportation

  • Students will wear masks while in the bus/suburban: no more that 2 students per seat.

  • Students will practice social distancing at the bus stop to a minimum of 3 feet

Entering the Building

  • Staff and students will utilize one entrance to enter the building.

  • Students/Staff will practice social distancing to the greatest extent, no closer than 3 ft.

  • ALL visitors must wear masks
